On foot from the desk

Central Eastside, timed honestly

831 SE 3rd sits between Belmont and Morrison, one block off the river. These are walking times from the brass foundry doors, not from a pin dropped in the middle of the district.

OMSI 14 min

South on 3rd, then Water. The submarine is the landmark. Orange Line at OMSI/SE Water is eight minutes if you would rather ride.

Burnside Bridge 9 min

North to the east end. Heart Coffee on East Burnside is twelve minutes; go before nine if you want a stool.

Division 11 min

South past Hawthorne. Kachka on SE 11th is closer to eighteen. Ask the desk which night the pelmeni run late.

Eastbank Esplanade 6 min

West to the river path. Dawn is quieter than the jogging apps suggest. The Steel Bridge walkway is the long way downtown.
